Identifying Your Cellular Phone Model
Your phone's model and serial (ESN or IMEI) numbers are usually located on the back of the phone.
To identify the model number of your phone:
- Turn off your phone
- Remove the battery or SIM compartment cover.
- You will usually see identification information on the back of your phone in the battery or SIM compartment. Some companies make it harder than this and you may need to call the manufacturer to help you figure it out.
UPC Search
Universal Product Codes (UPCs) are unique 12 digit codes used to identify a particular item and can be found on the
back of the products cover. A UPC number looks like this (bar code image below). In this example the UPC number is: 042286095325 (including the smaller numbers on the left and right side of the barcode).
Note: Most Electronics product UPCs will not be found on the physical device, and is usually only printed on the orginal packaging. Therefore, you will probably need to perform
a Keyword search to find most electronics products.
UPC Tips:
- It is not necessary to include hyphens when entering a number.
- When entering the UPC, be sure to include all 12 numbers; sometimes smaller numbers will appear on the left or right side of the main barcode number.
* Note about UPCs: In many cases, we only have the latest UPC code of a product.
Older versions/editions may have different UPCs. As a result, you may be unable to find an item by UPC,
and a keyword/title search should be performed instead.
